WebMorpeth is a thriving market town in the North East county of Northumberland. Situated on the River Wansbeck, Morpeth is only a short distance from Newcastle and Alnwick, which can be accessed via the A1, and surrounding towns and villages such as Ashington, Bedlington, Blyth and Cramlington. WebMorpeth lies fifteen miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne and is situated within a broad u-bend of the River Wansbeck. The town grew in importance as a coaching stop and market town on the Great North Road, the famous old route between London and Edinburgh.
